  • You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.

3. Service description

Beacon Finch provides financial education programmes designed for adults in Malaysia. Our three current programmes are:

  • Small Savings Light Programme — a two-session one-to-one programme (RM 440).
  • Adult Learner's Financial Literacy Programme — a six-week small-group programme (RM 1,580).
  • Household Reading Engagement — a three-month household engagement (RM 3,650).

Programmes are delivered at the Keramat studio or over video call, as agreed at enrolment. Session scheduling is subject to facilitator availability. Beacon Finch reserves the right to modify programme content, structure, or scheduling with reasonable notice.

Our programmes are designed for residents of Malaysia. Participants based outside Malaysia should contact us to discuss suitability and delivery arrangements.

4. Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Beacon Finch. Submission of an enquiry form or expression of interest does not constitute a binding enrolment.

For group programmes, enrolment is subject to availability. Group sizes are capped as described in the programme specifications. If a group is full, we will notify you promptly and offer alternatives where possible.

5. Participant responsibilities

Participants agree to:

  • Attend sessions punctually and engage in good faith.
  • Treat facilitators and other participants with respect.
  • Not record, reproduce, or distribute any session content without prior written consent from Beacon Finch.
  • Provide accurate information when registering and when sharing financial documents during sessions.
  • Use the website and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
  • Not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the website's operation.

6. Intellectual property

All programme materials, frameworks, worksheets, written summaries, and website content produced by Beacon Finch remain the intellectual property of Beacon Finch. Participants are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for their own financial learning only.

Materials may not be reproduced, shared, sold, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Beacon Finch.

Written summaries produced during the Household Reading Engagement are provided to the household for their personal reference and remain confidential to that household.

7. Fees and payment

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Payment terms and accepted methods will be confirmed at enrolment. Full payment is required before the first session unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Cancellation and refund policy:

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before the first session: full refund, less a RM 50 administrative fee.
  • Cancellation 7–14 days before the first session: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the first session: no refund, though the enrolment may be transferred to a future intake at Beacon Finch's discretion.
  • If Beacon Finch cancels a programme, a full refund will be issued.
  • Missed individual sessions within a multi-session programme are not refundable, though reasonable rescheduling efforts will be made.

8. Nature of our services

Beacon Finch provides financial education. Our programmes are designed to improve financial understanding and literacy. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or any form of regulated financial service.

Participants are encouraged to seek advice from licensed professionals — such as licensed financial planners, accountants, or solicitors — for decisions specific to their individual circumstances.

Beacon Finch facilitators hold relevant educational qualifications. They do not hold Securities Commission Malaysia or Bank Negara Malaysia licences and do not advise on specific investment products, funds, or financial instruments.

9. Disclaimers

Our programmes are provided in good faith and with care, but we make no representations or warranties regarding specific financial outcomes. Financial circumstances vary between individuals, and educational content cannot account for every personal situation.

Website content is provided for general informational purposes and may not reflect the most current developments in financial regulation or practice. We recommend consulting current official sources and professional advisers as appropriate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Beacon Finch's total liability to any participant for any claim arising from or connected with a programme shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant.

Beacon Finch shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including financial decisions made in reliance on programme content.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, negligence causing personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

11. Confidentiality

Beacon Finch treats all personal and financial information shared during sessions as strictly confidential. This information will not be disclosed to any third party except as required by law. Participants in group programmes are asked to respect the confidentiality of information shared by other participants during sessions.

12. Termination

Beacon Finch reserves the right to terminate a participant's enrolment if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or incompatible with the learning environment. In such cases, a partial refund reflecting unused sessions may be offered at Beacon Finch's discretion.

Participants may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund policy set out in section 7.

Obligations regarding confidentiality and intellectual property survive termination of the agreement.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

We encourage participants to raise any concerns with us directly in the first instance. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any disagreement informally and without delay.

14. General provisions

These Terms and Conditions, together with any programme enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Beacon Finch in respect of the relevant programme.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

Beacon Finch's failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

These terms may not be assigned by a participant without Beacon Finch's prior written consent.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or participation in a programme following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
